Airbus to cut 10,000 jobs as part of restructuring
Struggling European aircraft manufacturer Airbus has announced that they are going to cut around 10,000 jobs as part of their restructuring process.
They are also planning to sell all or part of six factories. The company continues to face protests from workers on this announcement.
Airbus Chief Executive Louis Gallois added that the company needs to take these hard steps to save billions in the coming years to survive in the market.
He said: “We need to be interested in the future of Airbus and for that we need to be one integrated company.”
The job cut would include 4,300 jobs in France, 3,700 in Germany, 1,600 in Britain and 400 in Spain.
