General Motors post sales rise for the month of February
US based automaker General Motors has said that they posted a monthly sales rise for the month of February. However, Toyota continued to impress with gain in sales in the US market.
GM stated that their sales were up 3 percent year-on-year. This is the first such improvement for the company since November last year.
Japanese automaker Toyota posted a 12-percent sales gain in February. They gained from improved sales of their hybrids including the Prius.
Market analysts and the stock markets had expected GM to post falling sales. Honda and Nissan posted sales gain of 3% and 1% respectively.
