Chrysler, Ford reports falling sales in February
While General Motors, Toyota, Honda and Nissan have reported improvement in their sales for the month of February, Chrysler and Ford have disappointing news for the investors.
Chrysler Group itself reported an 8 percent drop in February sales. The sales for Ford Motor were down 13 percent. Incidentally, Ford’s performance is in line with the company’s expectations.
Chrysler’s announcement of falling sales comes at a time when their Mercedes-Benz brand has posted almost flat sales in the region.
The company recently announced their plan to restructure which include job cuts for 13,000 workers. The parent company DaimlerChrysler is also looking for a potential buyer of Chrysler.
