Audi showcases the A5 coupe

German automaker Audi is due to showcase their much-awaited A5 coupe next week at the Geneva auto show. They are planning to start the production of this new car starting this year.

This new launch would further enhance Audi’s offerings compared to rival BMW which is the world’s largest seller of luxury cars.

Audi A5 would take on the BMW 3 Series models. Audi design chief Walter de’Silva said in a statement on this car: The car “is the most beautiful car I have ever designed.”

The company has not revealed the engine options they are likely to offer on A5. But market analysts believe that Audi’s 3.2 FSI (direct injection) V6 is likely to be the premium, if not the only, offering.
