Alive! : Fresh & Honest to enter retail business segment
Sterling Infotech-owned Fresh and Honest Café, which is into manufacturing of coffee vending machines, has announced their plans to enter the retail market with its own brand of coffee powder.
The company would be selling their coffee powder under Alive! brand, which would be a 70-30 mix of coffee and chicory. R. Shivashankar, Chief Executive Officer, Fresh and Honest Café said in a statement that this product would initially be sold in the South Indian markets.
Fresh & Honest has planned to invest close to Rs 2 crore in the first two months of operation on advertising on major channels, radio spots, and press. They have set themselves the target of achieving 10 per cent of the market in the first year.
The company has setup their company’s facility at Porur, which has a grinding capacity of 200 tonnes per month. They would be sourcing the raw material from Karnataka. They have priced the coffee packs competitively with the 50 gram pack costing Rs. 9 and the 100 gram pack costing Rs. 17.50.
