Dave DeWalt is the new CEO of McAfee
The McAfee board of directors has announced that they are appointing the former EMC executive Dave DeWalt as their new CEO and President of the company.
He comes to this top position at the time when the company is facing allegations surrounding backdating of stock options by former executives.
He was just recently the executive vice president and president of customer operations for EMC. He would be taking over from David Fuller, McAfee’s interim president and CEO who is due to leave the position next month.
Fuller is now expected to remain with the company as an advisor. He took over the position as an interim CEO after George Samenuk and Kevin Weiss resigned from the company as the CEO and President of McAfee.
