World Wrestling Entertainment coming to Cingular Wireless
US based mobile service provider Cingular Wireless is likely to announce a collaboration with the World Wrestling Entertainment Inc.
They would be selling a variety of products including ringtones with famous wrestlers’ voices to graphics and videos, including weekly matches and the annual spring tournament.
Verizon is also likely to broadcast some wrestling matches and videos on their $19.99 a month media service plan. In addition, they are likely to introduce a premium video package for $4.99 a month which would deliver highlights from WrestleMania and other shows.
Cingular spokesman Mark Siegel said in a statement that they believe they have enough wrestling fans amongst their subscriber base to announce such a deal with WWE.
