CBS enhancing their NCAA tournament games broadcasting service
CBS Corp. has announced that they are doubling the amount of bandwidth available for viewing NCAA tournament games this year.
They would however still restrict the number of viewers at any given time to maintain the quality of the service. The broadcaster is also improving the image quality for the video. The video size is also being increased to improve the quality of the broadcast.
Joe Ferreira, the vice president of programming at CBS SportsLine added in a statement that they can now support up to 300,000 viewers at any given time.
Steve Snyder, chief operating officer of CBS’s digital media unit added that they have been learning from the previous broadcasts and are expected to make decent revenues through advertising during broadcasts during this year.
