Dow Jones and IAC/InterActiveCorp to offer personal finance web service
Dow Jones & Co. Inc. and IAC/InterActiveCorp have together said in a statement that they are soon going to offer a personal finance Web site.
This service would offer content from their properties including the Wall Street Journal and Ask.com. This new project would be managed by a joint venture.
The financial details of this collaboration have not been revealed to the media. They aim to launch this new service by the second half of the current year.
Dow Jones said in a statement that their involvement in this joint venture would dilute 2007 results by about 3 cents a share.
Not many details are available as the companies have not clarified whether the site would charge for content or be free. The project is said to be aimed at the young investors in the market.
