Chrysler recalling 489,000 vehicles
Chrysler’s miseries are not ending anytime soon. The company has just issued a major recall of 489,000 vehicles. The recall includes the new Dodge Avenger saloon.
The company said in a statement that they would notify owners of the affected vehicles. The recall is related to problems with air conditioning, electrical and door lock.
Chrysler has been in news for all the wrong reasons as the parent company DaimlerChrysler recently said that they are planning to sell or spin off the unit.
The company also recently announced plans to cut 13,000 jobs. They are also going to close down one of their plants to cut costs.
Incidentally, Chrysler just recently recalled more than 50,000 vehicles to resolve a problem with anti-lock brakes.
