Motorola investing in Amimon
US based world’s second largest mobile phone maker Motorola has invested in privately held Amimon Inc.
Amimon specializes in development of semiconductor technology for wireless transmission of high-definition video.
High definition video is increasingly becoming popular in the major markets around the world and this investment in Amimon could help Motorola boost their HD related product portfolio in the future.
The company however did not reveal the extent of this investment in Amimon. The company did say that Amimon’s technology could set up wireless video links between television set-top boxes and TV display screens.
