AT&T launching Apple style retailing stores in USA

US based telecom giant AT&T is picking up marketing tips from the makers of iPod players Apple Inc. AT&T has opened up the first of 11 U.S. AT&T Experience megastores in the country.

The company aims to make it easier for the consumer to buy mobile phones and services as they do at the popular Apple stores.

AT&T’s first store in Houston`s Compaq Center complex comes loaded with high-definition programming demonstrations and the company`s video-on-demand catalog.

Customers would also be invited to check out the XM Satellite Radio on wireless phone service. The most impressive fact is that they would also get to check out the upcoming Apple iPhone device when it is launched at these stores.

The company is also going to provide equipments so that the mobile consumers could download games to their wireless phones.

AT&T added in a statement that they aim to open another eight stores this year.
