Computer Associates to expand Hyderabad centre

CA (Computer Associates) India unit has announced their plans to expand their operations in the Indian city of Hyderabad. The company has said that they are planning to double their headcount in their development center in this city to 2000 employees. This would also make their Hyderabad center the largest CA development center outside the United States.

Pravir Arora, director marketing and head (channels), CA India and Saarc confirmed this news and said that they plan to increase the number of employees to around 2000 in the next fiscal year.

CA’s currently have their largest development center located in their domestic market of US with around 2500 workers. If the company continues to expand their Indian operations, they would soon have India as their biggest development base worldwide.

The company currently employees around 16,000 people of which 60 per cent are at the development centers. CA also have their offices located in other cities in India including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Bangalore.

They have further plans to setup their bases in class B cities like Pune, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad.
