Sina developing china’s largest digital music platform

Chinese web portal Sina.com has said that they are now working with five foreign record companies as they aim to build the largest digital music platform in the country.

The company said that this platform would include services including online music, downloads and other wireless value-added services.

They have partnered with some big names including Sony BMG, Universal, Warner, EMI and Rock Records. The collaboration between Sina and these companies involves an unspecified profit-sharing scheme from advertising, download fees and revenue from wireless value-added services.
