Shah Rukh Khan now endorsing Masterstroke deluxe whisky

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is all set to endorse a liquor brand this time. The Diageo-Radico joint venture has announced that they have roped in the superstar as their brand ambassador for their Masterstroke deluxe whisky.

Incidentally, this would be the first liquor endorsement for the king khan who has endorsed everything ranging from cars to soft drinks.

Market sources claim that the company is putting in around Rs 20 crore on marketing including the endorsement fees given the SRK.

Radico Khaitan MD Abhishek Khaitan said in a statement on their plans: “We are confident that this will be the biggest brand roll out in the Indian spirits industry in recent times. We will be supporting the endorsement deal with enough resources for leveraging Shah Rukh on multiple platforms.”

Diageo India MD Asif Adil added: “Shah Rukh is a masterstroke just like our brand. He represents a new India, full of hope. We hope he will help us to connect with today’s India.”

It would be interesting to see how the SRK fans react to this new development.

King Khan should’nt do this ad. He should not promote what is bad for the society as intoxicated people lose their senses. He represents a section of the people and this ad would certainly harm his clean image.
