The Andy Milonakis Show to arrive first on iTunes later on television
Media Company MTV2 has plans to announce that would make available the entire season of the “The Andy Milonakis Show” show on iTunes first. It is expected to be available on iTunes a full month before it is broadcasted on the television.
The series is based on comedic antics and interactions among the young Milonakis and his friends. The latest season is based around Los Angeles. The series originally became popular on the internet and is expected to return on MTV on April 27.
Reports say that the premiere episode will be offered this week as a free download through iTunes. The six episode season would be made available on Apple iTunes for $9.99. Individual episodes would go for $1.99 each.
The studio also plans to offer additional footage only on the internet through special links which would be delivered with each episode on television.
This is the latest concept being adopted by a major television studio to gain the maximum from the internet medium.
