Honda recalling 166,000 Accord in United States
Japanese automaker Honda is known for their quality. However, this is not good news for the company as they have just announced a recall of about 166,000 vehicles in the United States of the Accord, Odyssey and five other models.
Honda said that this recall is related to a faulty component in the fuel pump. The defective part was supplied by Mitsuba Corp. and could cause the engine to stop and fail to restart.
Honda added that they have received no complaints of any accidents related to this particular issue. This defect is however similar to the problem resulting in Honda recalling about 30,000 cars in china last week.
The company did not disclose the cost of the recall as per their estimates. The affected vehicles include Accord, Accord hybrid, Odyssey, Acura TL, Acura RL, Acura TSX vehicles from the 2005 model year and some 2006 Ridgeline pickup trucks.
