AT&T launches a hosted GPS-based TeleNav Track service
US based telecom giant AT&T has launched their new hosted GPS-based workforce management service. This service includes facilities like mileage-tracking, wireless timesheets, alerts, and electronic data-gathering from the field.
The service is essentially the TeleNav Track provided by TeleNav, a provider of location-based services. However, it is going to be sold in the market by AT&T.
This is being made available to companies of all sizes and would have a premium option with additional services for customers who need more.
Additional services being offered are wireless forms, dispatching, barcode-scanning support, and voice and on-screen turn-by-turn GPS directions.
The service is available on devices like the Research in Motion’s BlackBerry 8800 and Hewlett-Packard’s iPAQ hw6920 Mobile Communicator.
