Oracle suing SAP with charges of corporate theft
US based database software market Oracle has revealed that they are suing SAP AG. The lawsuit claims that the Germany based business rival stole thousands of copyrighted software products and other confidential materials from them.
The lawsuit has been filed in the U.S. District Court in San Francisco. Oracle is claiming that: “This case is about corporate theft on a grand scale, committed by the largest German software company — a conglomerate known as SAP.”
Oracle’s lawsuit claims violation of Federal Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and California Computer Data Access and Fraud Act, Unfair Competition, Intentional and Negligent Interference with Prospective Economic Advantage and Civil Conspiracy.
The two companies are now major competitors as Oracle has acquired several companies in the recent years which make provides similar products and services as SAP.
