Bill Gates to finally get the Harvard degree

Bill Gates, chairman of Microsoft would be a speaker at an upcoming Harvard University’s commencement ceremony in June.

He would also be receiving an honorary degree from the institution. Incidentally, Gates himself dropped from the college to concentrate on Microsoft which he started while studying.

Gates is the richest man in the world and has also been one of the biggest donators for world causes.

He had joined Harvard as a freshman in 1973. He met Steve Ballmer, Microsoft’s current CEO in the college itself. He left Harvard during his junior year as he wanted to concentrate on his new venture he started with Paul Allen named Microsoft, now the world’s largest software company.

Gates is now scheduled to step down from his day-to-day role at Microsoft next year as he wants to concentrate on spending most of his time on Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He would continue to remain the chairman of the company.
