Oracle Corp. plans to acquire Tangosol Inc.
US based database industry giant Oracle has said that they are planning to acquire Tangosol Inc. This company specializes in providing in-memory data grid software.
This deal would help Oracle enhance their Fusion middleware and make it more appealing to users who needs rapid access to data.
This acquisition is subjected to customary closing conditions and oracle said that they expect to complete the acquisition by next month.
Oracle did not reveal the financial aspects of this deal. They have been acquiring companies since the last 2 years and have spent billions on these deals.
Tangosol is based in Massachusetts and has more than 100 customers including Delta Airlines, FedEx, Macy’s, Starwood and Wachovia.
