Wal-Mart would be paying $530 million in bonuses to workers in USA

World’s biggest retailing company Wal-Mart has revealed that they would be paying almost $530 million in bonuses to hourly U.S. store employees.

This is the first time in their history that they have revealed such information to the media. The company is otherwise known for paying inadequate wages to their workers.

The company typically pays bonuses to paid employees but they have now said that they would be paying bonuses to 813,759 full and part-time workers at its U.S. Wal-Mart stores and Sam’s Clubs.

The bonuses value would touch a figure of $1.06 billion of they include the funds which are paid to their managers. The company has more than 1.3 million employees in the United States.

Chris Kofinis, spokesman for WakeUpWalMart.com had this to say about the announcement: “Wal-Mart needs to understand that it needs to pay a living wage and not play games with workers that don’t improve lives.”
