Jet Airways could launch flights to US sometime this year

India’s largest private airline company Jet Airways has said that they are planning to introduce their much awaited maiden flight to the US via Belgium by July-August this year.

Jet Airways added in a statement that they plan to launch make Ahmadabad the fourth Indian city to have direct flights to London’s Heathrow airport.

The plans to launch direct flights to US have been delayed much due to issues related to an inquiry by US Department of Transportation.

Jet managed to clear those issues and has been given security clearance by Home Ministry last year.

They plan to operate a Boeing-777 aircraft with a three-class configuration on this route.
