Cingular Wireless claims Apple iPhone is already giving them user inquiries
AT&T’s mobile division Cingular Wireless has said in a statement that they have already received almost a million inquiries related to the upcoming Apple iPhone mobile phone product.
Apple is due to launch the iPhone in June this year and it would be available exclusively through Cingular with a 2 year contract.
AT&T Chief Operating Officer Randall Stephenson said that Cingular would be the first U.S. wireless service to sell the music-playing iPhone and they are not taking any advance orders for this product.
They have however setup a section on their website inviting interested customers to leave their e-mail addresses to receive information about the phone when it is released.
He said in a statement: “One million people have asked us to call when this phone is available.”
Looks like, Apple just might be able to touch their sales target of selling 10 million units by 2008.
