Visa looks at mobile payment for growth
Visa USA has said that they expect to fully utilize the mobile payment mechanism for growth in the electronic payment industry.
Mobile transactions are already very popular in countries like Japan. USA is still to catch up with this phenomenon. Mobile service providers in the country are looking to provide this service to boost customer experience and loyalty.
Chief Executive John Philip Coghlan said in a statement: “I think the mobile device is simply the most promising new form of payment system available today.”
Surveys have found out that a majority of consumers in the US market would like to shop using their mobile devices. A lot of consumers are even ready to switch their careers in case their current service provider does not offer this functionality.
