Boeing to debut 787 Dreamliner on July 8 this year
US based aircraft manufacturer Boeing has confirmed that they would be showcasing their much-anticipated 787 Dreamliner model on July 8.
The plane would be launched at an event at its assembly plant in Everett, Washington. The chosen date is pretty symbolic as it turns into 7/8/7 in numeric format.
Boeing said that this new plane from them uses lightweight carbon composite material to reduce operating costs. The company has gained orders worth around $70 billion for this plane in the last couple of years.
The company has planned the first flights of this plane in August this year. The deliveries are scheduled to begin next year.
The plane has already been so successful for the company that they have sold out orders till 2013. This plane also helped Boeing gain enough orders to outdo their rivals Airbus last year.
