Cobra Beer to invest in India
UK-based Cobra Beer has announced that they are going to invest around USD 20 million in India. The company is looking at a timeframe of three years to set up two Greenfield breweries in India.
The company further said that they would consider setting up their own facilities once they have reached a certain sales level in India.
Cobra Beer promoter and CEO Karan Bilimoria spoke on the Indian market scene: “Cobra is gaining traction in India. The month-on-month sales are increasing.”
Cobra Beer already has a licensing arrangement with five breweries in India. Currently their beer is brewed under a license agreement with Mount Shivalik in Rajasthan.
