Bajaj Auto sales down in the month of March
Indian two wheeler giant Bajaj Auto has reported that their sales fell down a bit last month compared to the same period in the previous year.
Bajaj Auto said that their sales were down 9% from a year earlier. The company managed to sell 193,562 vehicles last month as against 212,419 in March 2006.
However, the exports were up for the company at around 35,663 units. The sales of motorcycles for the company were down to 165,524. The three wheeler sales were down about 1% to 24,576 units.
For the complete year, Bajaj Auto sold 2,721,178 units in 2006-07. The motorcycle sales in this period were up 24% to 2,376,518 from 1,912,224 units last year.
The company continues to remain the India’s top exporter of two wheelers and three wheelers.
