PayPal launches Website Payments Pro

EBay’s online payment service PayPal has launched a new service named Website Payments Pro aimed at small and medium businesses.

This service has been designed to enable them to accept online payments securely and cost-effectively.

This is also the first non-hosted payment suite from PayPal. It comes loaded with their services including Express Checkout, Direct Payment API and Virtual Terminal functions.

Customers would be able to enter their credit/debit card details directly on the service’s website though the payments would still be processed by PayPal.

They are also allowed to pay using PayPal’s Express Checkout service so that they are not required to enter their card details every time they shop on the same service.

PayPal is offering this service for a monthly fee and a rate per transaction.
