Maruti sold 71,772 vehicles in March

India’s leading automaker Maruti Udyog continues to perform well in the domestic market. The company has stated that they sold as many as 71,772 units of their automobiles in the month of March.

This is an improvement of 14 per cent from 63,196 car units they sold in the same period last year.

The company added that out of these, 64,556 units were sold in the domestic market while they exported 7,216 units. The exports have risen massively compared to last year as they are increasing their focus on this market.

For the last fiscal year, Maruti Udyog reported that they sold 674,924 units. This is up 20 per cent from 561,822 units sold in the previous year.

Maruti gained from recently launched models like the Zen Estilo which is selling in huge numbers in the market. The launch of diesel models is expected to increase sales in the future as well.
