Google would sell advertisement for EchoStar Communications
Search engine giant Google has said that they would now be selling some advertisements for the EchoStar Communications.
These advertisements would be shown to 13.1 million satellite TV subscribers of EchoStar. This is the latest attempt from Google to extend its marketing muscle beyond the Internet.
Keval Desai, Google’s director of product management for TV ads spoke on this new development: “We think a lot of the principles of the Internet can be applied to the TV business.”
The company is already testing their advertising mechanism with Astound Broadband in about 25,000 households in Concord.
Kevin Lee, executive chairman for Did-It Search Marketing spoke on this Google announcement: “This has a much better chance of getting the market excited.”
