Sony Pictures Entertainment signs on a deal with IBM
Entertainment industry giants Sony has said in a statement that they have signed on an IT support deal with US based tech giant IBM.
IBM would be providing their services to the Sony’s global financial system. The two companies have signed on a five-year contract for $3.8 million for the project.
Sony added that this new deal is an addition to their existing deal originally signed last year. That deal was worth around USD 4.3 million.
Sony Pictures CFO David Hendler spoke on this new development: “IBM offers us a low-cost and high quality support model for our global SAP skills that we require. We have brought in global reinforcements to augment our staff, substantially reduced our support costs, and redeployed our IT and finance staff on high-value activities.”
