Rolls-Royce planning three new models for Indian market
Rolls-Royce fans have something to cheer about now. The luxury car market has announced their upcoming plans for the Indian market. Rolls-Royce would be launching as many as three new models here in India in 2006-2007.
Two of the models would be here this year itself. These would be a convertible and an extended wheelbase version of the Rolls Royce Phantom. In addition, the company would also be launching a coupe version sometime next year.
Ian Robertson, chairperson and chief executive of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars said in a telephonic statement: “A coupe version will be launched by the next financial year. We have plans to set up two exclusive Rolls-Royce dealerships in Mumbai and Delhi in a couple of months.”
These dealerships would be managed by Navnit Motors, the exclusive dealer for BMW cars in India. BMW owns the Rolls-Royce brand. The company sold seven of their existing model Phantom in India last year and has plans to sell 10 more this year.
