Bentley to enter pre-owned vehicle market in India
A lot of big names in the auto world are entering the used car segment in India. The latest to join the fray is none other than Bentley itself.
The company already sells their brand new cars in the Indian market and is now going to enter the India’s pre-owned vehicle market.
Bentley is also scheduled to launch its new ‘GT Convertible’ model in the country early next month. They would just make available five units of this car which would cost around Rs. 2.2 crores.
Ian Gorusch, regional director (Middle East, Africa & India), Bentley Motors spoke about the Indian market: “India has exceeded our expectations and the number of customer base is constantly growing. With the company limiting its production globally to maintain exclusivity, we are looking at the used car business as a serious model to satisfy customers.”
Gorusch added: “What we are looking is at making a passionate Bentley customer drive the car he likes, even if it is a used car, while he waits for the new one to arrive. The used car customers are going to be special as the pre-owned Bentley is going to be far costlier than other normal badges.”
The company already has sold around 70 cars in the Indian market all of them priced well above a crore rupees. They sell their Arnage, Continental and Flying Spur models in India.
