Ericsson to provide network services to Vodafone in Europe
World’s largest mobile service provider Vodafone has said in a statement that they have signed on a big deal with equipment group Ericsson.
The two companies have entered a multimillion-dollar deal which would see Ericsson managing parts of the Vodafone’s European networks.
Vodafone added that Ericsson would manage the supply and distribution of spare parts to their markets including Germany, Spain and Portugal.
They declined to reveal the financial aspects of their deal with Ericsson. They did add that Ericsson would be responsible for running the logistics, warehousing, repair and replacement of network equipment.
Vodafone wants to consolidate its equipment and service providers to cut costs and lessen the complexities of managing their global business.
