Ford announces a recall of Escape SUVs
The problems for Ford continue in their domestic market as they have now announced a recall of 527,000 Escape SUVs in the US market.
The company said that they are recalling these cars because of a problem in the antilock braking system that could cause fires.
Ford’s latest recall includes 444,880 Escapes from the 2001-2004 model years in the U.S., as well as 82,000 Escapes in Canada, Mexico and Europe.
Fortunately, the owners of the hybrid version of the Escape are not included in this recall. Mazda Tribute is being recalled as well.
The company added that they have yet not received any report of accident due to the reported problem in these vehicles.
