Jim Press is the first non-Japanese Toyota board member
World’s second largest automaker Toyota has announced that they have selected the Toyota Motor North America President Jim Press to become their board member.
Interestingly, Press has now become the first non Japanese Toyota board member. The company added that Executive Vice President Yoshimi Inaba, responsible for Toyota’s Chinese operations would retire soon.
Inaba has been looking after the Toyota’s business operations in the Chinese market since last two years. He was in Toyota’s North American team before that.
He would be taking up a position at the Chubu Centrair International Airport. Toyota helped in the establishment of this airport.
Toyota added that Press would now be promoted to senior managing director.
