Nokia still claim that Qualcomm is infringing on its patents
World’s largest mobile phone maker Nokia has claimed that the US based Tech Company Qualcomm continues to infringe on their patents.
Interestingly, Qualcomm has just revealed that they are rejecting the USD 20 million dollars offered by Nokia as royalties for patents.
The licensing agreement between the two companies has already expired and the two companies are said to be continuously discussing the possibilities of extended it.
Nokia has further claimed that the Qualcomm’s contributions to current mobile standards have decreased and they should now be required to pay less for licensing their patents.
The mobile phone maker is trying to get a bargain by relying on their own patent portfolio. Qualcomm has responded by saying that they do not use any of the Nokia’s patent and they can safely end their talks with the company.
