Bajaj Auto set to launch a companion bike to complement Discover
Indian two-wheeler giant Bajaj Auto seems to be in a fast track mode. Their Pulsar 200cc model has already been a best seller in the market with huge demand.
And now they are planning to conquer the 125cc segment by launching a new bike in the segment where they already have their Discover model.
Bajaj plans to launch this new model in the second quarter of the current financial year. Discover already has a market share of around 20 per cent in the segment and competes with several models including the Hero Honda Splendor and Glamour, Suzuki’s Heat and Zeus, TVS Motor’s Victor Edge, Yamaha’s Gladiator and Honda’s Shine.
Amit Nandi, general manager-marketing, Bajaj Auto said in a statement on their plans: “Our new offering in the 125cc category will help strengthen our position in that segment. We are hoping to launch the bike during the second quarter.”
