Broadcom files yet another complaint against Qualcomm
Qualcomm seems to be everybody’s favorite target nowadays. They are already involved in several legal battles with the world’s largest mobile phone maker Nokia. Now they are facing more legal hassles from tech company Broadcom.
Wireless chipmaker Broadcom said in a statement that they have launched a new legal battle against Qualcomm. They are now accusing Qualcomm of unfair competition, fraud and breach of licensing contracts.
Incidentally, Qualcomm and Broadcom are already involved in several patent infringement disputes of their own. One of the lawsuits had Broadcom demanding that the courts should implement a ban on phones with certain Qualcomm chips.
Broadcom added in its statement that the lawsuit has been filed in California Superior Court in Orange County. They are now accusing Qualcomm of concealing its patents, reneging on licensing obligations, and exerting market dominance through hidden affiliations.
