Sharp announces advanced LCD panels for mobile devices
Japanese consumer electronics maker Sharp has announced that they have developed an advanced LCD panel for mobile devices which offer sharper moving images compared to organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays.
This could be beneficial for the makers of the new mobile devices as people are increasingly watching videos and playing games on the move.
Sharp claims that their new panels offer response speed three times as fast as its conventional panels. The company further said that their new technology provides for the world’s highest contrast ratio for 2-inch LCDs used in mobile devices.
The company further said that they are planning to make a sample shipment of the new liquid crystal display (LCD) panels by the end of the year. Sharp is aiming to manufacturing these new panels at competitive prices.
