Steve Jobs took USD 1 as salary from Apple last year

Steve Jobs might be credited with the comeback that Apple has made in the last decade but he still takes just USD 1 as salary from the company.

Steve returned to Apple in 1997 and since then he has opted to get only a token paycheck from the company he co-founded and turned into what it is today.

Jobs however owns more than 5.4 million in restricted shares of Apple Inc which are worth around $490 million at current prices of Apple shares. As per the company’s documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, jobs also took $202,000 for expenses related to the business use of his private plane.

Jobs also now happen to be the largest stockholder in Disney after the company acquired Pixar which was again founded by Steve Jobs. As per Forbes magazine, Jobs is the world’s 132nd richest man with a net worth of $5.7 billion. He certainly can live with a USD 1 salary from Apple Inc.

The fans surely love him.
