India’s leading two wheeler and three wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto has revealed that they are now considering entering the commercial vehicle market segment in the next two three years.
The company is also planning to invest around Rs 3-3.5 billion in expanding their manufacturing capacities for motorcycles considering the demand is rapidly increasing putting strain on supplies.
Bajaj Auto is considering setting up a Greenfield facility would be set up in Waluj, Maharashtra with the aim of manufacturing light, medium, and heavy commercial vehicles. However, no official statements have been released by the company in this matter.
India’s commercial vehicle market is largely dominated by bigger players like Tata Motors Ltd and Ashok Leyland Ltd. Mahindra and Mahindra is also interestingly planning to enter this segment in the next couple of years.
