Yahoo adds PayPal support to Panama Web search advertising system

Yahoo Chairman Terry Semel said in a statement that they have expanded the availability of their Panama web search advertising system.

The company has also now added PayPal as an online payments service. This initiative is part of their earlier formed partnership with eBay which owns PayPal.

Semel added that the company is now offering their online advertising system to key Japanese customers. With this, the system is now available outside the United States.

Semel further said: “While we’re still in the early days, we’ve already seen significant increases in the relevance of our most prominent sponsor search ads and have heard from our advertisers that they are seeing meaningful improvements in ad performance.”

He expects their Panama system to be available in more countries including European and South Korean markets by the end of the current quarter.
