Jeff Weiner: Yahoo! needs to capitalize on their existing web services

Internet giant Yahoo has some amazing services. However, they have failed to capitalize on them by not using them to their full potential. This is what Jeff Weiner, executive vice president of Yahoo’s network division believes.

He said in a statement that the company needs to leverage its multiple Web sites and services to gain a stronger position in social networking market which is growing at a rapid pace on the web.

They have an online social networking service named Yahoo 360 which has not been as successful as they had hoped. The company also owns several other services like Flickr and del.iciou.us which are incredible tools for groups.

He is not the only senior executive at Yahoo who believes that the company is lagging in the online networking segment. Yahoo Vice President of Advanced Development Bradley Horowitz had some time back said that they might have to do some major modifications to Yahoo 360 to enhance its popularity.
