Nissan Maxima Diesel coming to US market in 2010
Nissan Motor Chief Executive Carlos Ghosn has announced that they would bring cleaner vehicles in the US market in the coming years to meet the growing demand for such products.
The company has announced that they would be launching a diesel version of their Nissan Maxima in the United States in 2010.
Ghosn claimed that this car would comply with emissions standards in all 50 US states in addition to providing improved fuel economy and lower carbon dioxide emissions.
He added: “The launch of the Maxima will mark the start of a broader diesel strategy in the United States.”
More and more automakers are turning to diesel technology to launch products offering better fuel efficiency.
Nissan added that they are also developing alternative vehicles as they aim to take on Honda and Toyota which are currently the dominating players in the Hybrid car segment.
