Salesforce.com to provide CRM solutions to Japan Post
Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff has announced that they have won a big contract to provide CRM (customer relationship management) applications to Japan Post.
Japan Post is the world’s largest financial institution by assets and this is a huge victory for Salesforce.com. The deal in its current form covers 5,000 users.
This makes it the largest deal for Salesforce.com in the Japanese market. The financial aspects of the deal were not revealed to the media.
Market analysts believe that this deal with Japan Post would bring in more similar deals to Salesforce.com. Benioff added in his statement: “It offers validation as well as credibility that Salesforce.com is a significant company in Japan, offering significant solutions and can automate even the largest of the corporations here.”
Benioff further said: “We believe that this initial agreement with Japan Post will become a hallmark to many Japanese companies to realize that if Japan Post has made this important decision that they can make this important decision to go to on-demand computing as well.”
