TCL India Holdings to expand their presence in India

Chinese company TCL has said that their Indian division TCL India Holdings now plans to restructure its small appliance business in the Indian market.

Company’s Managing Director Warren Wang said in a statement that they now plan to evaluate and study the market structure of these products.

After conducting the evaluation they would decide whether they need to add new products or remove existing products from their range for the Indian market.

TCL however also plans to expand their business in India by launching various ranges of air-conditioners, color televisions, DVD-players and washing machines.

They are also aiming to double their branches, dealers’ network and after-sales-service centers by 2010. They are already pretty successful in India with sales of five lakh color televisions, 50,000 air-conditioners and one lakh DVD-players last year. They now aim to touch revenues of Rs. 500 crore during the current year.
