Whirlpool to expand presence in India
Whirlpool Corporation’s Indian subsidiary Whirlpool of India has revealed that they are planning to invest around USD 20 million over the next 15-18 months to expand their presence in India and launch new products in the market.
Shantanu Das Gupta, Vice president-Marketing added in his statement that the company is aiming for a 25 per cent growth this year from the Indian market.
The company further revealed that they are going to spend around Rs 70 crore for advertising and marketing. Whirlpool further wants to expand their product range in India by launching wider product range like ovens and ‘built in’ range of products.
They have just launched their latest products including Whirlpool ‘Mastermind refrigerator, ‘Sensation Neo’ washing machine, ‘Magicool’ air conditioners and 100 per cent automatic clothes dryer.
