Maruti Cars cheaper by around Rs. 5000
India’s biggest automaker Maruti has announced a price cut in their cars. The company has now reduced the prices of their cars by up to Rs. 5000 as they are passing on the benefits of reduction in sales tax in Haryana to the end customer.
A Maruti spokesperson said on this announcement: “We have passed on the benefit of the reduction in sales tax by Haryana from 3 per cent to 2 per cent effective April 1 to dealers, who in turn have passed it on to customers.”
The Haryana government has reduced sales tax rates from 3 per cent to 2 per cent. This has enabled the automaker to price their cars at a slightly lower price tag.
Maruti has also just announced that they would be launching their Baleno replacement SX4 sometime next month. This car is likely to be priced at around Rs. 7 lakh and would be the most expensive car from the company. Maruti does however sell imported Vitara SUV which is priced above Rs. 10 lakh.
